Studio Wantia by Sophie Wantia

My name is Sophie Wantia and I founded Studio Wantia in the search of optimism and play within our daily lifes. By collaging a graphic and playful dialogue between the body, objects, and space, I create my own graphic world. In this graphic world I play with recognition and the unknown. My work consists of art, print design and fashion. The works that are hanging on the walls here at KEEK, are a mix of collage artworks, which are part of an ongoing research on color, material and shape. This research is inspired by materials from for example construction sites, weird objects, graphic prints which we find all around us, contrasting and bright color combinations and bubbly shapes. For these works I used left-over vinyl, paper, recycled aluminium and sustainable sublimation print.

On March 10th we’re organizing a festive opening of the exhibition with a presentation, drinks and snacks. You’re welcome from 20:00 and the official opening will be at 20:30, after which there will be enough time to look at the art, talk and spend time together.
