Laura van Daalen explores nature through painting, graphic art, and installations. She experiments with the visual representation of nature in new forms. Despite nature being all around us, it can sometimes seem distant. Societal decisions regarding nature often appear practical, as if nature must be resilient yet safe. There is a constant urge to control the environment. Van Daalen's works are constructed landscapes that embody a similar level of control, resulting in compositions that ultimately form new creative realities.
